In 2008 Leigh Green, wife of Chuck and mother of lovely Rebecca, Sarah, and Rachel, was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Since then, The Berrington-Green Foundation was set up to help raise money for her daughters’ educations, as well as, other charities.
Since its original inception the Berrington-Green Foundation has expanded its scope to help support families touched by ALS and other terminal illnesses. It is our mission to assist the children of families touched by a terminal illness to raise funds for their education.
To fund this foundation she has created a series of note cards featuring a collection of her artwork over the years. The works include pastel drawings, pencil sketches, watercolors made to look like stained glass of religious subjects, and local nature scenes. She has always taken an interest in geology, and this is reflected in her depictions of rock types deposited by local streams and rivers.
The cards can be purchased separately for $2.50 each. Prints of any individual drawing can be purchased.
Proceeds from the sale of the cards and prints will go into a fund to support the college education of children from families impacted by a parent with a terminal illness. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Muscular Dystrophy - ALS division, Arkansas Hospice, and Catholic Charities of Arkansas.
If you are interested in helping the Berrington-Green Foundation fulfill its mission statement, we would like to hear from you.
